1 I enjoy
Being friends with people that aren’t outgoing.
The people you have to go out of your way to meet. The ones that don’t have a charming personality that captures your attention the first time you meet. They don’t have a wonderful smile, a friendly, natural rhythm to their voice, or a comfort with social situations that allows them to converse with new people easily. It’s not that they don’t enjoy social situations, it’s that no one ever bothers to talk to them, so they get comfortable in their own world.
These people are some of the coolest people you’ll ever meet. Because no one ever takes the time to talk to them, they legitimately enjoy your company. I’ve had wonderful conversations with these types of people, and sometimes it’s hard to get them to stop talking once they’ve started. They have SO much to say, because they’ve always wanted to say it, but no one will take the time to listen.
It’s not an ego thing. It’s not that I enjoy talking to these types of people because they give me attention. I enjoy talking to them because I feel like I’ve discovered gold- this wonderful, interesting person that so few people take the time to befriend.
Really extroverted people are fun too, I’m one of those types. The one that might put people off at first because I have so much energy and I act like such a goofball all the time. And then there’s most people, who fall somewhere in between.
I just love meeting and befriending amazing people. There are so many of them here.
